Built in 1893, Thane House is a heritage designated home. Herons' Nest is the upper suite of the home

Heron's Nest's sundeck is seen here (with blue umbrella). The yellow door is the entrance into the suite's kitchen. Access to the suite is up the black stairs shown under the big tree.

2 minute walk to Fonyo beach, popular with locals and a great spot for a picnic or a dip in the water.

Herons' Nest is located a block from Dallas Road, which hugs the local coastline and provides a great place for long walks throughout the year.

There are lots of deer,  birds and backyard chickens to be seen in the area as well as seals, otters and occasional whales, too,
